Ramon Vazquez, starting pitcher for the
Texas A&M Aggies, has always thrown junk even when playing with his childhood friends. He remembers the days of "Wall Ball" where they would chalk up a school wall and play a little baseball with a tennis ball. "Back then we had a batter, a pitcher and an OF and we would rotate turns at each," said Vazquez. "I used to throw off-speed pitches and breaking balls all day and they just couldn't pick up on the ball and break. " He does admit that throwing a tennis ball is a bit different than using a hard ball. The NCAA year is over and his stats are simply amazing:
