Playoff Preview: Montreal vs Seattle

Next Friday, one of the most anticipated series will oppose teams with two of the best attacks: the Montreal Bandits and the Seattle Sasquatch. At first, we will analyze the two teams and make a prediction. After that, we will see if the two GM have guts.

Pitching: The two teams rank very close in starter ERA: 5 for Montreal, 6 for Seattle. Montreal has a true ace with Perez. Rudyard is less dominant in my opinion. After that, I prefer the depth of Seattle but not by much. Very slight advantage Montreal

Relief : Again really close in relief, Montreal is 7th and Seattle 8.  But this time, I give a little notch to Seattle closer, Robbins. For the rest, a little more depth for Montreal. Very slight advantage Seattle

Infield: George Sanders is perhaps the best weapon in infield for Seattle.  With 2 regulars injured, Seattle needs to find a way to replace them. Salgado is a big piece. He will return but in what kind of shape? Montreal has Shields and Izyurov who could turn the game quickly. Defensively, the two teams are similar. Advantage Montreal

Outfield: With Davis, Johnson and Frend, Seattle may have one of the best outfields ever put on a field. What a powerful trio. Montreal outfield is not bad either, led by Tom Becker who can win a game by himself.  But you have to give an advantage to Seattle.

DH + Bench: With the injury to Thornton, we give Seattle an advantage here. Alfonso is a great hitter and Seattle prove all year long to have good depth.

Prediction: Seattle seem to have a better team overall but I think Montreal will win in 6. If Perez wins one in Seattle, it will be tough for the Sasquatch to go in Montreal, where the Bandits play .654

In my opinion, this series will probably the best one for fans who like slugfests. It could go one way or other. It's time to see if the 2 GM believe in their formation. We ask them if they're willing to accept the following challenge.  If Montreal wins, Martín will post a picture of himself with a written sign "Montreal is the best," and in French please. Find a way to translate it. :)  If Seattle wins, Christian will post a picture of himself with a sign marked, "Seattle is just too good." Do they have enough guts to accept this challenge?  We will see...
