Montreal Takes the Lead!

Montreal Leads Series 2 Games to 1

Right now, the Bandits have the Sasquatch where they want. After stealing one game in Seattle, Montreal won the first at home. Seattle needs to rise and steal one in Montreal's hostile field. But if a team is able to do that, it's the Sasquatch and their powerful offense. Let's recap the series so far.

F. Alfonso
Game 1: Seattle 16, Montreal 1
Montreal starts the series with Daron Brown, their 4th starter. A bizarre choice that did not pay because he got hammered for 7 points in 2.2 innings. That set the tone of the game where the Sasquatch cruise with an easy victory. Rudyard let only 1 point to the Montreal offense, and Seattle fans were pleased by the local showing. Francisco Alfonso led the offense with 3 hits and 2 RBI and was selected the player of the game.

R. Pérez
Game 2: Montreal 4, Seattle 1
This time, Montreal battled. They needed a strong performance from Raúl Pérez, and they received it. Pérez pitched 8 strong innings, allowed only 1 point and 2 hits to the dangerous Seattle offense. That was exactly what Montreal wanted from their ace. Their offense, led by Becker, scored 4 times and coach Harris was surely more then happy to have won 1 of 2 at Seattle.

T. Shields
Game 3: Montreal 4, Seattle 3
The two teams went to Montreal, where the Bandits are very comfortable, and they showed it in game 3. Montreal takes an early 3 points lead, but Seattle came back and tied it in 5 innings. The 2 starters were out, and the relievers had to win the game. Montreal relievers gave just 2 hits, and Seattle relievers just three. Unfortunately for Seattle, 2 of them were in the same inning and a double by Tim Shields gave Montreal the victory.

So right now, the Bandits could give Seattle a major blow if they win one on the next 2, before Raúl Pérez comes back for his second start.  So far, the series goes as our predicted....
