For the next two weeks the four teams in the Lasorda division will play each other (except for a Nottinghamshire v Carolina match this Monday). Dallas and New York will play 13 division games in this stretch while Ann Arbor and Nottinghamshire will play 12.
Going into play all teams are 60-45 except Nottinghamshire who is 59-45. During this set of matches Nottinghamshire and New York meet 6 times while Dallas and Ann Arbor will meet six times.
Looking only at division games the standings would look like
New York 17-12
Dallas 14-15
Nottinghamshire 14-15
Ann Arbor 13-16
In the two 6 game match ups, New York and Nottinghamshire have split 8 games each winning 4, while Dallas holds a 5-3 edge over Ann Arbor.
Dallas will be getting SP Joe McDowell back in week 2. Nottinghamshire has just gotten SP Juan Fernandez back after a 1-game rehab assignment.
While separation is unlikely, it is certainly an opportunity for someone to try and take control of the division.
Place your bets.
