Indiana State Sycamores won the ABL College World Series, defeating California in seven games 4-3! The results of the games were: 7-4 Indiana State, 9-4 California, 10-2 Indiana State, 5-0 Indiana State, 10-9 California, 13-0 California, and 6-1Indiana State in game seven!

Derrek Flynn, shortstop for Indiana State, was the College World Series MVP. He hit four home runs and had eight RBI while batting .296.
Indiana State has improved each of the past three seasons, going 23-25 in 2012, 29-19 in 2013, and 32-16 in 2014. The main reason they have been on the rise is because of their pitching staff. Their team ERA has continuously improved each season: 5.76 in 2012, 5.02 in 2013, and 4.08 in 2014.

Their best starting pitcher is
Jorge Hernández (7-3, 3.11 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP). He also went 2-0 in the World Series and could have been the MVP as well.

Let's not forget about the POWER that the Sycamores demonstrated this year. They hit 87 dingers in 48 games!
Lou Townsend, who was part of the College World Series squad, has hit the team's most homers at 29 over the past three years.
This was the first World Series that the Oregon State Beavers did not participate in. The Beavers finished three games back at 29-19.
