Lasorda v Anderson - Classic

Tommy Lasorda and Sparky Anderson, Dodgers-Reds, was a classic rivalry.  That rivalry is about to be renewed in the ABL.  The Lasorda Division is easily considered the toughest in the Roberto Clemente League.  All teams are over 500 as Nottinghamshire sets the pace with a one game advantage over New York.  In the divisional matchups this past week Dallas picked up a game and is only 3 off the pace, with Ann Arbor at 29-28, 5 back.

Over in the Thurmun Munson League, the Anderson Division stakes it claim as the best division.  Again all teams are over 500.  Mile High has just closed ranks with Kansas City to tie atop the division, with Las Vegas 1 game back.  Eureka at 31-28 is 4 back.

Over the next two weeks, these divisions will go head to head.  This is highlighted by the first week matchups where Mile High and Kansas City will tangle with Nottinghamshire and New York.

Division titiles may be determined by these matchups.  A preview of the ABL World Series may also occur, and of course, bragging rights will be established.

One twist (of many) is that SP Gardner Webb, recently traded to Nottinghamshire from Kansas City has already been announced as one of the starters in the Kansas City-Nottinghamshire series.
