Single A Basher - Mike Pittman

Mike Pittman is 22 years old and in his 4th year in Single A which might lead observers to discount his potential to reach the ABL level.  In his 3rd Single A season last year he posted the rather unremarkable numbers of .234/.356/.353.  The most questionable number might be the .353 slugging pct. from a guy who is touted to having home run power.

However, this outstanding defensive outfielder seems to be finding a rhythm this year as his 2015 line is .314/.415/.566.  With 15 long flies he's one short of doubling last years output and his walks to strikeouts are 56/45.  And, the kid has speed, too, as he's swiped 18 bags for the Pioneers.

So, here's a kid that was drafted in Round 107 in 2012 and the  2548th pick overall that is finally catching up  with the rest of the league and proving that his promotion to AA is just around the corner.  Mike Pittman is part of the Ann Arbor Barn Owl system and just maybe on his way to the ABL in the not too distant future.
